I encourage children to be confident, independent and develop their own self-esteem. I organise activities to support the children's play and learning via a range of creative activities, to develop their imaginative thinking skills, enhance their language and mathematical thinking and build on their personal, social and emotional skills. With parents permission I like to take the children on outings to farms etc. and to local parks on a regular basis. We also regularly visit Ravenswood Childminding Group.
We have a large garden area with a variety of outdoor equipment including trampoline, slide, swing, seesaw, sand pit, balls etc.
I feel that outdoor play is a crucial element to a child's learning.
Also, in the summer months, all the inside activities will be readily available for the children to play with in the garden area if they prefer.
Arrangements are made for quiet rest times or sleep for younger children, away from the noise of the older ones.
